How to Measure the Penis
Culturally, penis size matters. Men, and some women, are obsessed with the size of the penis and its potential capabilities. However, research has shown that size really does not matter when it comes to sexual satisfaction. In fact, even though women are known to perpetuate the stereotype that size matters, women have been the research participants who have admitted to the fact that size really does not matter when it comes to total sexual satisfaction.
But, how many of you actually believe that? Probably very few of you are willing to just agree with that research. Let's say that you are not convinced that penis size does not matter. What can you do to determine if your penis measures up to the standard and do so accurately?
Here are some steps to take to measure your own penis.
Step One – Consider Environmental Factors
Many things can affect the measured length and width of a penis. It is important that you take multiple measurements at different times of day and even the month, as well as in different room temperatures, in order to get a truly accurate picture of the size of your penis.
Step Two – Find the Proper Measuring Tool
This may seem like common sense, but it is a frequently pondered question. Typically, a rule will be a sufficient tool for measuring your penis. However, if you want to use a measuring tape, that may also be used, but with caution. Additionally, make sure that your measuring tool is not cold!
Step Three – Stimulate Yourself
Clearly, it is important to measure your penis at its most erect state. This will take genuine stimulation in order to obtain maximum erection potential.
Step Four – Start with the Length
While standing, hold your penis parallel to the floor. Take your measuring device and place it on the top of your penis. You should focus on measuring from the base of your penis all the way to the tip of the penis.
Step Five – Tackling the Width
Measuring the width of the penis is rather difficult with a traditional ruler. However, in lieu of wrapping a measuring tape around your penis – which might be inaccurate – you can take the average of the measurement of the following three areas: below the glans penis, the middle of the shaft, and the base.
Once you have completed these five steps in multiple instances, you should have a general idea of how long and wide your penis is when it is erect. You can also choose to measure your penis when it is flaccid to discover how much growth occurs when an erection is present.
If your penis measured between three to four inches flaccid, or six to seven inches erect, then congratulations – you are among the average! If your penis measured less than two inches while erect, you may have a developmental penis disorder known as Micropenis.
If you would like to increase your penis size now that you have the actual measurement, there are numerous ways in which some claim to do so, but do your research first.
